The 2006 CR-V LX AWD Mini-Sport Ute. I'm shopping for one right now for my wife and I. (I already drive a 1999 CR-V EX, and I LOVE it, but we need to replace her old Civic. I'm posting this because I hate to car shop. You just know they're gonna screw-ya, it's just a question of how much. I think I have a good price on the new vehicle, and I have a good rate on my loan, but the trade-in is the kicker. That negotiation comes tomorrow. I'll post the result later.

Got it last Thursday! Paid dealer invoice. My wife and I are thrilled. What a beautiful vehicle. Now, we just need some real snow to really see what it can do.
You probably went to Wal-Mart afterwards and filled it with all kinds of other foreign goodies too.
I love Wal-Mart, and think it's critics are foolish.
I figured you would miss the point.
Wal-Mart was great when Sam ran it and bought American. Today you will be hard pressed to find anything made in the USA. Just keep on buying your foreign cars and shopping at Wal-Mart, China and Japan will thank you.
OK. Now, from your very extensive post I was supposed to understand that you were actually complimenting Wal-Mart when Sam Walton ran the company. Sure. And, Sam only bought American goods? I don't think so. Would I prefer to buy American products as a general matter? Of course, but since our labor unions are destroying any chance of competitive pricing with producers from around the world I can't always do it. And, tell me which comparable American car would perform as well and reliably as my Honda? Not to mention the fact that many good American workers actually make many Hondas and Toyotas, etc., right here in the USA. It's a competitive world out there, and I have great confidence that American is capable of adapting and leading in a free market global economy. I'll buy American when it's the best and when it's reasonably priced.
